I bought the AirSleek thinking it would be a good, affordable alternative to the Dyson Airstrait, but it really isn't.
I’m highly skeptical about the "less heat damage" claim. Even in "Mix Mode," you are still pressing heated plates onto damp hair. Steam trapped between plates equals damage; without independent lab data to prove otherwise, I didn't feel safe using this on wet hair.
Using the functions separately is equally disappointing. The dryer is weak, and the "constant press" design is exhausting for the hand. When used purely as a styler, it’s far too heavy and bulky compared to a traditional straightener. Sadly, it just isn't practical for daily use.
